John Eberhard is a former journalist and professional bowler. He bowled on the PBA national tour in the early 1980s for a short time before a knee injury forced him to take a different path. He continued to compete in PBA regional events but kept working for a living, eventually moving to Reno to work at UNR until he retired. Well, retirement may not be quite what happened since he opened several bowling pro shops in the Reno/Sparks area. His last pro shop was inside the Grand Sierra Lanes, when he had had enough — not of the bowling business, but taxes. Although he retired, he continued to bowl, teach bowling, and help a friend, who was also an ex-PBA bowler, run his pro shops. To end a long story, knee and back problems (from years of bowling) conspired to rob him of his bowling skills. With little to do except help his friend and teach, he started writing and discovered a passion for it. Now, here he is with his first novel published, attempting to find someone to read it. less
